STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR BUYING A PROPERTY IN TURKEY
When you decide to buy a property, we
will take you to a lawyer who will produce a contract between
yourselves and the vendor and the deposit will be paid and
recorded.(normally 10%)
The lawyer will apply on your behalf for
the title deeds, which will secure the property until they
are received.( this normally takes 6-8 weeks)
The land registration is administered by the Tapu (deeds)
office, where the current owners name will be changed to yours.For
this process you will need the following:
2 passport sized photos
2 copies of your passport
Your address in your home country
a tax number( which we will get for you)
As with any important documentation here in Turkey,
your Fathers name.
A sworn, certified translator is a requirement by law, so
that you fully understand the proceedure.
After the 6-8 week period and upon receipt of your final payment,
you will need to collect your deeds in person from the deeds
office.
After the property is registered in your name, we will assist
with the registration of electricity water phone line etc.
Any further necessities, such as
insurance, furniture etc. we will be only to pleased to help
you with, and should you decide to rent your property, we
can even take care of this.
